In our Meet the Staff series, we're excited to introduce you to the hardworking individuals who serve Carthage every day. From planning and public works to administration and public safety, each team member plays a vital role in making our town a great place to live, work, and visit. Get to know the staff behind the services and learn more about the people who help shape Carthage!

1) What is your job title? Town Planner

2) What does your job entail? All commercial and residential site plan review, permit and zoning questions, and any community/civic engagement events. 

3) What does a day look like for you? Doing commercial and or residential reviews, answering zoning and permit questions, and plat reviews.

4) What brought you to local government? Started out in advocacy and liked local government because you can have an impact. Attempting to make Carthage more walkable with a better quality of life. Trying to make Carthage better connected. Working to make sure Carthage grows smartly and is not exploited. Proactive not reactive so making sure Carthage can enjoy amenities but isn't exploited like a big city. Carthage has so much potential. 

5) What is your favorite movie? The Wizard of Oz.

6) What is your favorite food? Indian or Mexican food.
