Name: Kesha Matthews

1) What is your job title? Finance Director.

2) What does your job entail? Anything to do with finances. Preparing budget, monitoring budget, budget amendments, overseeing and helping with paying town bills, bank reconciliation, state and local finance reports, grant work. 

3) What does a day look like for you? Something new every day. Lots of reports depending on the month and approving department expenses. 

4) What brought you to local government? I moved to Carthage but was still working in Chapel Hill, so I applied to Carthage since it was local and allowed me to stay in the state retirement system since I had eighteen years behind me. 

5) What is your favorite movie? The Color Purple. 

6) What is your favorite food? Chocolate.
