Caviness Park is a small pocket park offering visitors a quiet and calming place to rest while visiting Downtown Carthage. Take a break under the pergola and enjoy the swinging benches and flowers or go for a quick stroll down the brick walkway and look for the names of those who helped make Caviness Park possible. Don't forget to visit the Little Library at the end of the walkway!

Managed by the Moore County Parks and Recreation, Hillcrest Park and the Moore County Sports Complex offers a wide range of activities to include ADA accessible playground equipment, a splash pad for those hot summer days and a variety of sports programs for Moore County residents.

Nancy Kiser Park is Carthage's main park with playground equipment for kids of all ages, picnic shelters, a tennis, basketball and volleyball court, baseball field and natural setting. Be sure to visit the Carthage Museum, also located at Nancy Kiser Park, on Sundays from 2pm-5pm.
