The Carthage Historic Preservation Commission is excited to announce an opportunity for community members to actively participate in preserving the rich heritage of our town. We are seeking five to seven passionate and dedicated volunteers living within the Residential Historic District to form a steering committee. This committee will play a crucial role in advising on historic preservation matters, events and other preservation needs.
Volunteers will collaborate with local government staff and commission members, contribute to policy recommendations, and assist in developing community outreach initiatives. If you have a love for history and a commitment to preserving the unique character of Carthage, we encourage you to join us in this important endeavor. Together, we can safeguard our town’s legacy and foster a deeper appreciation for our shared heritage.
